Summer hay meadows, did you say? But it’s December. Quite.
But I like to think back to six month’s ago in June and midsummer days because even on the greyest of days, it cheers me up. I remember that sure enough spring appears leading in to those long summer days that I so cherish.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park has an abundance of dry stone walls and barns that bring such character to the landscape and tell a story in themselves. I love seeing hay meadows and the aromas of freshly cut grass too.
I love to be reminded of the cascading colour and the brightness of the flowers in summer. Perhaps also because very soon (I hope) we’ll be planning our travel adventures for 2021 and tucked up in winter-time, it’s always nice to dream, don’t you think?
Summer 2021 availabilty is open to book online at Newton Grange Holiday Cottages near Skipton, North Yorkshire. We would love to see you.
