A summer of events in the Yorkshire Dales

Now the sun is shining brightly we are ever brimming with excitement at a fun-filled summer of local events in the Yorkshire Dales and the chance to discover something new. With last weekend’s fabulous Le Petit Depart from Skipton and the fabulous Malham Safari Trail the weekend before, we feel so thankful to have the picturesque Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep and so many fun things to do.

Saturday 20th August – Gargrave Show

Tuesday 30th August – Kilnsey Show & Sports

This is a popular all-round family day out and traditional livestock-led agricultural show. There is great fun to be had for exhibitors and supporters alike. Kilnsey Sports take place in the afternoon, with the famous fell race ascending and descending Kilnsey Crag.

Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September – Yarndale Festival, Skipton Auction Mart

Described as a “creative festival celebrating all things woolly and wonderful”, Yarndale is back for a fourth time this year at Skipton Auction Mart. It really is a unique and vibrant event that is well worth a look if you’ve never been before. Tickets can be bought in advance. More information is available on the Yarndale website.
